WE ARE GUILD LIVING.
OUR FOCUS IS BETTER LONGEVITY.

OUR MISSION

Guild Living values the extraordinary life of every older person. Our mission is to enable all people to achieve better longevity. Our communities place older people at the heart of our lives and communities – where they belong.

ACADEMIC APPROACH

The time has come to look at longevity in a whole new way, we work to improve the way we age and to ensure that the focus is on healthspan and not lifespan. Led by global academic research, Guild Living is developing a deep and detailed understanding of people’s desires, fears, wants and needs in order to deliver homes and communities that enable older people to achieve better longevity.

Achieving better Longevity

Guild Living is creating Third Age homes for life in the hearts of towns and city centres right across the UK. These communities will offer a range of residential options including for-sale or rental, in beautifully designed environments that work to support the physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing of every member of the Guild Living community.

We’re passionate about later living, but not as you currently know it.

How it all began

It all started with a conversation between Eugene Marchese and Michael Eggington about their frustrations and aspirations around ageing, care and later living. With significant global experience in later living, they both agreed that we needed a better way to age.

INSPIRING ENVIRONMENTS

We will enable older people to live extraordinary lives through beautiful architecture and design – all within sociable and vibrant urban settings. Our innovative communities in Bath, Epsom and Walton (with more locations to come) will deliver the security of care and wellness programmes.

Experience Counts

In partnership with Legal & General and a leading team of ageing experts – including Emeritus Professor Malcolm Johnson, and the University of Bath – we are delivering later living solutions that are informed by global academic research.

Words From Our Partners

  • Creating environments and opportunities to enable more people to live as they want for longer is a shared ambition for many of our researchers across many disciplines at the University. We’re able to produce world-leading research and experts to tackle this challenge, but by having good partnerships like Guild Living, with which we can exchange our knowledge and realise our ambition, we can ensure the results of our efforts not only benefit our City’s residents, but our region, nation and society as a whole.

PROFESSOR JULIE BARNETT, FACULTY OF HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES

  • What I’m really passionate about is thinking about individuals and how we change people’s lives. It’s making sure we use the scale of the development to the benefit of an individual. One of our founding principles is about being inclusive, so you’re not seeing a gated community, you’ll have an accessible, lively, active, multi-generational community.

PHIL BAYLISS, CEO OF LATER LIVING

  • We are creating adaptable spaces where people can age in place. We don’t want these to feel institutional in any shape or form. At Marchese Partners, we believe in being able to design a beautifully functional home that allows the resident to age in place. This applies to the design of the kitchen, bathrooms, and adaptable spaces – so that they know they can move into this place and not have to move again.
