Finance Director

Tom is a well-credentialled finance professional and a valued member of our Guild Living leadership team. Tom has established the governance framework and the finance team, positioning the business for controlled growth as we deliver our initial projects. He’s a natural leader and generous in sharing his knowledge, enabling his finance team to shine, and the broader team to understand the value of their contribution. Tom is known for his contemplative opinion forming, and his ability to articulate a clear perspective when called on.

Tom joined from Legal & General Capital’s later living team, having played a pivotal role in the establishment of Guild Living. Tom was part of the team that launched Legal & General’s later living business with the acquisition of Inspired Villages Group in 2017, followed by the acquisition of four villages operating under the Renaissance Villages brand later that year. Before joining Legal & General, Tom worked for Grant Thornton, advising lenders on distressed lending positions and corporates on the raising of debt financing. Tom is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds a First Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance.
