Our communities will offer a new and innovative approach to wellbeing in later life. By staying active and socially connected, everyone can continue to live extraordinary lives.
Aquafolium – a social enterprise that draws on global research into the health and wellbeing benefits of nature therapy – are aligned with this mission. The organisation uses woodlands and wildlife to offer alternative support for isolated and vulnerable people, by organising nature walks for people in later life and their carers (who often work unpaid).
Watch this video to find out more about the Transform Ageing programme, which supports Aquafolium, and their design-led approach – which brings together social entrepreneurs, public sector leaders and those in later life to challenge the way we think about ageing.
