This week on Ageing Unlocked, we want to discover the root of all designs. We ask Stewart Dean, to talk us through the Marchese Partners design principles!
What are the Marchese design principles?
Marchese Partners set up a group of design principles around 10 years ago. This came through from the research we were doing with the study with Melbourne University and lately with the University of Bath.
We really wanted to anchor all of our design around a set of principles that related back to literature so we could tell our clients that everything we had been designing had some kind of academic backing behind it so that we were not just a group of architects coming up with something just because we thought it would work so we have these seven design principles and we anchor everything we do from the concept to the initial meeting with our client back to this.
Stewart has been part of the Marchese team for over 17 years. During this time Stewart has worked in the Sydney office and was the Principal of the Brisbane office and has been instrumental in the growth of the senior living brand for Marchese Partners.
Through his experience in Australia working on landmark later living projects, Stewart has gained an innate understanding of the sector and how well-considered design can positively affect and influence the residents, to live more fulfilling active, happy lives. Stewart has been involved with steering committees at a number of later living developments in Australia and is committed to bettering the lives of the residents with this resident first attitude.
Stewart brings this experience into leading the London Studio to deliver the unique Guild Living offering.
